Hazrat Muhammad PBUH as an Exemplary Judge

Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is a great example of justice to all of mankind. He practically proved that no one could be more just and equitable than the Rasool (PBUH) of Allah almighty. As head of the state of Madinah , he decided all cases on merit with justice and equity, irrespective of colur creed or race.

 Once a quraish woman was found guilty of stealing. Some people wanted to save her from punishment in order to protect the honour of the family of the Quraish.

They asked Hazrat Osama bin Zaid to intercede on her behalf.He requested the Rasool (PBUH) to forgive her. The Rasool (PBUH)  very furiously said ,”Bani Israil was ruined because of this. They applied law to the poor and forgave the rich”. The hands of the guilty woman were cutt off.

The Rasool (PBUH)  was so well known for his justice that even the Jews, who were his bitter enemies ,brought their suits to him.He decided their suits in accordance with the Jewish law. He very strictly followed the commandment of Allah in regards of justice.

The rasool (PBUH)   administered justice even to it was against his own interest or interest of those who were near and dear to him. When he was on this death bed, he proclaimed, “if I owned something to anyone or I wronged any person or damaged anyone’s property or honour, my person, my property ,my honour are here; he may take revenge from mein this world”. He never made any concession in implementation of justice.
